Luqaimat / sweet dumplings / Arabic sweet

    Luqaimat is an Arabic sweet. They are crunchy outside and soft inside. The dumplings dunked in dates syrup makes a delightful treat. Let's see how to make the perfect luqaimat. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* All purpose flour - 2 cup 

* Corn flour - 2 tbs

* Milk powder - 2 tbs

* Sugar - 1 tbs

* Rose water - 1 tbs

* Olive oil - 1 tbs

* Salt - 1 pinch

* Luke warm water - 1 1/2 cup

* Instant yeast - 1 tbs

* Dates syrup - as needed

* Oil - for frying

For Garnishing :-

* White sesame seeds - as needed

METHOD :-

* To a bowl add all the ingredients except dates syrup. 

* Mix well. The consistency becomes thick ribbon consistency. Close it. 

   


* Let it rest for 1  hours. 

* After 1 hour the dough becomes doubled. 

* Heat a khadai, add oil for deep frying. 

* When the oil becomes hot wet your hand. 

* Take a small lemon sized dough add to the hot oil. Turn the flame medium to low. 

   


* Fry it till it becomes golden brown color. 

* Remove from the oil. 

* Finally add dates syrup. Mix it. 

* Garnish with with sesame seeds. 

* Tasty luqaimat is ready.
