Floating island pudding

  Floating island pudding is a dessert which contains floating meringue in the creamy vanilla custard. 

INGREDIENTS :-

 * Egg yolk - 1

* Sugar - 6 tbs

* Fresh cream - 2 Tbs

* Custard powder - 1 Tbs

* Salt - 1 pinch

* Milk - 2 cups

For meringue :-

* Egg white - 1

* Powdered sugar - 2 Tbs

* Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp

For garnishing :-

* crushed nuts

METHOD :-

* To a bowl add egg yolk, sugar, fresh cream, custard powder, salt, milk. 

* Mix well. 

* To a bowl add egg white, powdered sugar, vanilla essence. 

Beat the this, till it becomes stiff peak. 

* Keep aside. 

* To a wide pan add already prepared custard mix. 

* Boil till it becomes slightly thick consistency. ( pouring consistency) 

* At this time add the beated egg white ( meringue) to this by using a spoon, scoop this and gently place it over that. 

* Add all the egg white like this. 

* Do not over crowd the pan with this.

* Poach one side and then very gently flip and poach the other side. 

* Pouch this for 2 minutes. 

* Turn off the flame.

* Transfer this to a serving bowl. 

* Garnish with crushed nuts. 

* When it becomes cool. Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. 

* It's ready to serve.
