Wheat puttu / Gothambu puttu/ Easy breakfast recipe This is one of popular breakfast food of Kerala. It's simple, easy and healthy breakfast. Wheat puttu pairs well with banana, egg curry, kadala curry and also pairs well with meat curries. Follow the step by step procedures to get a soft puttu. INGREDIENTS :- * Wheat flour - 2 cups * Water - 1 cup * Sugar - 1 tsp * Salt - to taste * Grated coconut - 6-7tbs METHOD :- * To a bowl add flour and salt. * Mix well. * Boil the water along with sugar. * Let it vigorously boil. * Turn off the flame. * Pour this boiling water to the flour. * Mix with a spatula. * Close it for 2 minutes. When it becomes completely cooled. * Add 3 - 4 tbs of this wet flour to a mixer jar or a food processor. * Add 2 tsp of dry wheat flour to this. * Pulse it couple of time.
