Sweet diamond cuts

    Sweet Diamond cuts are made using a simple dough cut into diamond. Then deep fried until crispy then tossed in sugar syrup. It's an easy snack that you can make for festivals. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* All purpose flour - 1 cup

* Salt - 1/4 tsp

* Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

* Water - 6 tbs

* Oil - for frying

* Sugar - 1/2 cup

* Water - 1/4 cup

METHOD :-

* To a mixing bowl add flour, salt and turmeric powder. (for the color) 

* Mix it. 

* Then add water gradually, knead  it to a soft dough. 

* Dust some flour on the rolling board, then flatten the dough using a roller pin. 

* Make  a very thin sheet. 

* Once it done cut it into diamond shape using a cutter. 

* Heat oil in a pan, when it becomes hot. 

* Turn the flame medium to high. 

* Then add the diamond cut pieces. 

* When it starts floating on the oil. Turn the flame low. Then fry it. By doing this will maintain the Crispness and color. 

*Fry  until it becomes crispy. Take out from the oil. 

* Follow the same process for all. 

* Boil sugar along with 1/4 cup of water. 

* Mix it. 

* When it becomes one string consistency. Allow to boil for another 30 seconds. 

* Once it done add the fried diamond cuts. Combine it. 

* Turn off the flame. 

* Then combine gently otherwise the diamond cuts will crack. 

* Tasty diamond cut is ready to serve. Store in an airtight container upto one week.
