Tapioca sticks chips


Tapioca sticks chips are a popular snack made from tapioca, a starch extracted from the cassava root. These crispy sticks are typically thinly sliced, deep-fried, and lightly seasoned with salt or spices, offering a crunchy texture and a mild, slightly nutty flavor. Widely enjoyed in parts of Asia, Africa, and South America, they are often found in street food stalls or packaged as ready-to-eat snacks. Tapioca chips are naturally gluten-free, making them a suitable alternative for those with dietary restrictions. Whether flavored with chili, garlic, or herbs, they offer a satisfying and addictive crunch.

INGREDIENTS :-

* Tapioca - 500 gm

* Chilli powder - 1 tsp

* Salt - to taste

* Curry leaves - 2 sprig

* Oil - For deep frying

METHOD :-

* Peel the tapioca and cut into cylinder shaped 3 or 4 pieces. 

* Boil 3/4 litre of water along with salt. 

* When it starts vigorously boil add the tapioca pieces. 

* Boil for just one minute. This will make it easy to cut. 

* Once it done turn off the flame and strain it. 

* Then cut into  slices. 

* Cut the slices into lengthwise thin strips or sticks. 

* Heat oil for deep frying. 

* When the oil becomes hot, add the tapioca strips. 

* Fry until crispy in medium flame. Remove from the oil. 

* After that put the curry leaves on hot oil. Fry it for 4-5 seconds. 

* Remove from the oil. 

* Finally seasoned tapioca sticks chips with little salt, chilli powder and fried curry leaves. Mix it. 

* Tasty Tapioca sticks chips is ready. Store in an air tight container for upto a week.
