Mysore Bonda
Mysore Bonda recipe
Mysore Bonda is a popular South Indian snack known for its crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior. Originating from Karnataka, particularly the city of Mysore, this deep-fried delicacy is typically made from a batter of all-purpose flour (maida), yogurt, rice flour, and spices like cumin, black pepper, green chilies, and curry leaves. The batter is allowed to ferment slightly, giving the bondas a light and airy texture. Served hot, often with coconut chutney and sambar, Mysore Bonda is a beloved tea-time treat, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons. Its mild spice and satisfying crunch make it a favorite across South India and beyond.
