Chicken Cutlet

A chicken cutlet is a thin slice of chicken breast that is typically pounded to an even thickness, breaded, and pan-fried or deep-fried until golden brown and crispy. Popular in many cuisines around the world, chicken cutlets are often seasoned with herbs and spices, dipped in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs before cooking. They are known for their juicy interior and crunchy exterior, making them a favorite in sandwiches, salads, or served alongside vegetables and sauces. In Italian cuisine, they form the base of dishes like Chicken Parmesan, while in Japanese cuisine, a similar dish called chicken katsu is served with tonkatsu sauce and rice. Versatile and satisfying, chicken cutlets are both a comfort food and a staple in many home kitchens.
