Potato sticks
Potato sticks are crispy and flavoured with some other ingredients.It's a best accompaniment with a cup of tea or coffee. Follow some steps to get crispy and crunchy potato sticks.
INGREDIENTS :-
* Potato - 2 big
* Corn flour - 1 1/2 tbs
* Fine rice flour - 1 tsp
* Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
* Salt - to taste
* Curry leaves - 1 sprig
* Oil - for frying
METHOD :-
* Peel the potatoes.
* Cut into 2mm thick slices. (no more than 3 mm thick)
* Now cut the slices into sticks.
* Tova bowl add some water.
* Put this sticks into the water.
* Wash it 3 or 4 times to remove the starch, or till the water becomes cleared.
* Strain it.
* Spread this sticks on a towel and dry out completely.
* Mix Corn flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, salt.
* Mix it.
* To a bowl add the dried potato sticks. Then add the corn flour mix.
* Mix it.
* Heat the oil for frying.
* When the oil becomes hot add 1 tbs of hot oil to the pots mix.
* Mix well.
*Once it done, Add this to the oil and fry it till it becomes crispy.
* Finely fry the curry leaves and mix it with the potato sticks for extra flavor.
* Potato sticks are ready to serve. Store in an airtight container upto 1 week.
