Pappadam stir fry / Pappadam thoran
Pappadam Thoran / Pappadam stir fry/ Easy side dish
Are you bored with regular stir fry. Want to try something different, yet tasty.. Then try this pappadam thoran. It's very easy to make and a good accompaniment to rice or can be eaten as a snack.
INGREDIENTS :-
* Pappadam - 5
* Shallots - 15
* Garlic - 2
* Chilli powder - 1 tsp
* Curry leaves - 1 sprig
* Salt - to taste
* Oil - for frying
METHOD :-
* Cut the pappadam into small pieces.
* Deep fry the pappadam in two batches until crispy. Set aside.
* To a mixer jar add shallots and chilli powder. Grind it in 1 or 2 pulse mode. Just crush it that's enough.
* Heat a pan add 3 tbs oil.
* Add shallots and chilli powder mix and garlic.
* Saute it till it becomes golden brown color.
* Then add curry leaves and little salt.(only for shallots because pappadam contains salt in it)
* Once it done add fried pappadam pieces.
* Gently mix it.
* Turn off the flame.
