Shakshuka

     Shakshuka is said to originated in Tunisia, this recipe is popular in many parts of North Africa and the Middle East. Shakshuka is a simple dish made of eggs in a delicious tomato and onion sauce. It's so satisfying and can be serve as a breakfast, lunch or dinner. 

INGREDIENTS:-

* Egg - 2 or 3

* Onion - 1 big

* Tomato - 2 medium

* Green chilli - 2

* Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbs

* Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

* Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp

* Coriander powder - 1 tsp

* Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

* Salt - to taste

* Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

* Ghee - 2 tsp

* Coriander leaves - 2 tbs

METHOD :-

* Heat a pan add ghee. When it becomes hot add cumin seeds. 

* Then add chopped onion. 

* Saute it until light brown color. 

* Then add chopped green chilli and ginger garlic paste. 

* Saute it until the raw taste of garlic is completely gone. 

* To this add chopped tomatoes. 

* Saute it for 2-3  minutes. Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and coriander powder. Mix it. 

* Then add 40ml of water. 

 * Saute it until the tomatoes are cooked well and becomes mushy. 

 * Once it done, use your large spoon to make wells in the sauce and crack open the eggs into each well. 

* Sprinkle pepper powder over it. 

* Close the lid and cook the eggs for 5 minutes, or until the eggs are done to your liking. 

* Then open the lid and sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves. 

* Turn off the flame. 

* Tasty shakshuka is ready.
