Coffee Flan recipe

   Coffee flan is a yummy melts in mouth dish. This coffee flan is a delicious twist on the classic treat. The combination of silky and creamy flan with a rich, bold flavor of coffee will give you a delightful treat on each bite. It's guaranteed to satisfy your sweet carvings!!! 

INGREDIENTS :-

For caramel syrup :-

* Instant coffee powder - 1/2 tsp

* Water - 1 1/2 tsp

* Sugar - 1/4 cup

For pudding :-

* Instant coffee powder - 3 tsp

* Hot milk - 2 tbs

* Salt - 1 pinch

* Egg - 4

* Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

* Milk - 1/2 ltr

* Sugar - 1/2 cup

METHOD :-

* For caramel syrup, add 1/2 tsp coffee powder and 1 1/2 tsp water. 

* Mix it. 

* Heat a pan, add this coffee mix along with 1/4 cup of sugar. 

* Start to caramelize it. 

* When the sugar completely melts and and turns golden brown. 

* Pour this to a  medium hot 7 inch cake tin, so that it will spread evenly. Set aside. 

* For pudding, to a bowl add 3 tsp instant coffee powder, 2tbs hot milk and a pinch of salt. 

* Mix it. 

* To this add 4 eggs along with 1 tsp vanilla essence. 

* Mix and combine well. 

* Then add milk. Milk should be in room temperature. 

* To this add 1/2 cup of sugar. 

* Mix it until the sugar dissolves completely. 

* Pour this to the cake tin with sugar syrup. 

* Place this on a steamer. 

* Cover the steamer with a cotton towel. 

* Then close it with a lid. Do not close it tightly. 

* Steam this for 35-40 minutes. 

* After that remove from the flame. 

* Let it cool down completely. 

* Then refrigerate this cooled coffee flan for 2 hours. 

* Then de-mould it. To de-mould flan, run a knife around the edges of the tin to loosen the flan. Invert a large platter with a lip over tin. Holding tin and platter securely together then quickly invert and turn out the coffee flan onto the platter. Caramel will pour out over and around coffee flan. 

* Tasty and creamy coffee flan is ready to serve.
