Sweet and Spicy Mango Pickle

    Sweet and spicy Mango pickle is a unique variety of pickle which is sweet, spicy and tangy. The tanginess from raw mangoes, sweetness from the jaggery and spiciness from the spices makes this dish mouthwatering. This is a best accompaniment with Biriyani, curd rice and more. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* Raw Mango - 400gm

* Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp

* Fenugreek seed powder - 1/2 tsp

* Cumin seed - 2 pinch

* Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

* Chilli powder - 1 tsp

* Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tsp

* Jaggery powder - 2 tbs

* Vinegar - 2 tsp

* Gingelly oil - 3 tbs

* Curry leaves - 1 sprig

* Salt - to taste

METHOD :-

* Peel and cut the raw mangoes into small cubes. 

* Heat oil when it becomes hot add mustard seed. Wait to pops up. 

* Then add cumin seeds and curry leaves. 

* Turn the flame low. 

* Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder. Mix it. 

* Once it done add the mango pieces along with salt. 

* Mix well. 

* Turn the flame medium to low. 

* Add jaggery powder. 

* When it melts completely, add vinegar. 

* Cook for 5 minutes. 

* Finally add asafoetida powder. Mix well. 

* Turn of the flame. 

* Tasty mouthwatering sweet and spicy mango pickle is ready.
