Soya Chunks fry roast
Soya chunks fry roast is a spicy dry starter recipe prepared with a blend of spices with soya chunks. It is an ideal party starter or appetizer recipe which can also be enjoyed as a side dish to roti, chapati or rice.
Soya chunks offers numerous health benefits due to their rich nutritional content. They are also known as TVP ( textured vegetable protein). They are a good source of protein, fiber, calcium and magnesium. They helps in weight management, supporting bone health and digestion.
INGREDIENTS :-
For fry :-
* Soya chunks - 1 cup
* Egg - 1
* Chilli powder - 1 tsp
* Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
* Corn flour - 1 tbs
* Oil - 3 tbs
For masala :-
* Onion - 2 medium sized
* Tomato - 1 small
* Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbs
* Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
* Coriander powder - 1 tsp
* Pepper powder - 1 tsp
* Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
* Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Salt - to taste
METHOD :-
* Add soya chunks to the boiling water along with salt.
* Let it boil for 2 minutes.
* After that drain out the water.
* Squeeze out all water from the soya chunks.
* Then add egg, 1 tsp chilli powder, turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt to the soya chunks.Mix it.
* To this add corn flour. Mix it.
* Heat oil. When it becomes hot add soya chunks mix and fry it for 3 minutes in high flame.
* Remove from the flame and set aside.
* To the same oil add Cumin seeds.
* Then add sliced onions. Saute till it becomes light brown color.
* Add ginger garlic paste. Saute it till the raw taste is gone.
* After that add 1 1/2 chilli powder, 1 1/2 coriander powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt.
* Saute it for 30 seconds.
* Once it done add chopped tomato. Saute till the tomato becomes soft and mashy.
* To this add fried soya chunks. Mix it and cook for 2 minutes in medium to high flame.
* Turn off the flame.
* Tasty Soya chunks fry roast is ready to serve.
