Butter Murukku
Butter murukku recipe is the easiest murukku recipe with buttery taste and melts in the mouth. It's a crunchy, savory snack. One of the most popular snack made during Diwali festival and it tastes great with coffee or tea.
INGREDIENTS :-
* Fine rice flour :- 1 cup
* Besan flour - 1/2 cup
* Sesame seed - 2 tsp
* Cumin seed - 1 tsp
* Butter - 1 1/2 tbs
* Salt - to taste
* Oil - for frying
METHOD :-
* To a bowl add rice flour and besan flour, sesame seed, cumin seed and salt.
* Mix well. Make sure everything is combined well.
* Then add butter to this. Mix well. Crumble and mix making sure the flour is moist.
* After that add water slowly and start to knead the dough until it becomes a smooth and non sticky dough.
* Now take a star mould and fix it to the murukku maker.
* Grease the murukku maker with some oil. This prevent the dough from sticking to the mould.
* Make a cylinder shape out of the dough and place the dough inside the murukku maker.
* Tighten the lid. Press it to a clean cotton cloth in circular motion or you can directly press on to the hot oil. That's your preference.
* Drop this murukku to the medium hot oil.
* Fry it on the medium flame till they turn crispy from both sides.
* Tasty butter murukku is ready to serve.
