Coconut Chutney

   Coconut chutney is a classic South Indian condiment made from fresh coconut with some other ingredients creating a flavorful accompaniment to traditional dishes like Idli, Dosa, Uthappam, Idiyappam, medu vada, onion Pakora and more. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* Grated coconut - 1 1/2 cup

* Roasted chana - 2 tbs

* Green chilli - 3

* Ginger - 1/2 inch piece

* Dried chilli - 2

* Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp

* Shallots - 2

* Curry leaves - 1 sprig

* Salt - to taste

* Water - 3/4 cup

METHOD :-

* To a mixer jar add grated coconut, roasted chana, green chilli, ginger and salt. 

* Add water and grind it. Not a fine paste just before that. 

* Heat a pan add oil, when it becomes hot add mustard seed. Wait to pop up. 

* Then add dried chilli and sliced shallots. Saute till it turns golden brown color. 

* Once it done add  curry leaves. Mix it. 

* Turn off the flame. 

* Pour this to the coconut paste mixture. 

* Mix it. 

* Coconut chutney is ready to serve.
