Instant Unniyappam
This is a quick, easy and soft Unniyappam recipe could be easily prepared within minutes without grinding rice and rest for many hours. This is not the traditional Unniyappam recipe. Let's see how to make this instant Unniyappam without compromising the taste.
INGREDIENTS :-
* Semolina/Rava/ Suji - 250 gm
* Milk - 250ml
* Jaggery - 200gm
* Ripe banana(nendrapazham) - 1
* Cardamom - 5
* Ghee - 1 tbs
* Salt - 1 pinch
* Oil - for frying
METHOD :-
* To a bowl add semolina / Suji and milk. Mix it.
* Let it rest for 20 minutes.
* Boil 1/4 cup water along with jaggery.
* Boil till the jaggery melts completely.
* After that remove from the flame and strain it.
* Let it cool down completely.
* After that to a blender add semolina-milk mix, cooled jaggery syrup, ripe banana pieces, cardamom and salt.
* Grind it nicely.
* Transfer this to a bowl. Add ghee and mix it.
* Heat Unniyappam pan. Add oil to all moulds.
* When the oil becomes hot, with a small ladle pour the batter to each mould.
* When one side of the Unniyappam becomes golden brown color, flip it with help of a stick.
* Cook till both sides becomes golden brown color take out from the oil. Follow the same process till the batter finished.
* Soft and tasty instant Unniyappam is ready.
