Chickpea Stir fry

  This protein packed Chickpea stir fry is so easy to make and so delicious. Chickpea tossed with grated coconut and curry leaves with some more ingredients makes this a flavorful dish. It's a easy vegetarian dinner that's full of flavor on the table in just few minutes. It goes well with chapati Or rice. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* Chickpea :- 1 cup

* Onion - 1

* Garlic - 3 cloves

* Green chilli - 2

* Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

* Grated coconut - 1/4 cup

* Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp

* Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

* Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

* Curry leaves - 1 sprig

* Oil - 2 tbs

* Salt - to taste

METHOD :-

* Clean and soak the chickpea overnight. 

* Drain out the water. 

* To a pressure cooker add 2 cups of water along with chickpea, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. 

* Cook until the chickpea becomes soft. 

* Turn off the flame. Set aside. 

* Heat a pan add oil. When it becomes hot add mustard seeds. Wait to pops up. 

* After that add crushed garlic. Saute it for 10 seconds. 

* Once it done add chopped onion and green chilli. 

* Saute it till the onion becomes transparent. 

* Add grated coconut and curry leaves. Saute it for 1 minute. 

* To this add cooked chickpea and asafoetida powder. 

* Mix well and cook this for another 1 minute. 

* Turn off the flame. 

* Tasty Chickpea stir fry is ready.
