Cherupayar Dosa / Green Gram Dosa

  Green gram dosa is a protein packed dosa made with whole green gram and spices. It's a popular Breakfast recipe from Andhra Cuisine. Green gram dosa goes well with any types of chutney especially coconut chutney. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* Whole green gram - 1 cup

* Raw rice - 1/4 cup

* Green chilli - 2-3

* Ginger - 1 inch piece

* Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp

* Ghee - as needed

* Salt - to taste

METHOD :-

* Wash the green gram and rice until the water becomes clear. 

* Then pour enough water to this and soak for 6-7 hours. 

* After that drain out the water. 

* Then transfer this to a mixer jar along with green chilli, ginger, cumin seed and salt. 

* Grind it to a smooth paste by adding enough water. 

* The consistency of the batter should be like dosa batter. 

* Heat a dosa tawa. Pour one ladle of batter to the tawa. 

* Spread it like a dosa. 

* Drizzle some ghee over it. 

* Cook by flipping both side. 

* Follow the same process until the batter finished. 

* Tasty Protein rich dosa is ready to serve.
