            Swiss Roll  Without Oven

     

Swiss Roll

  This Swiss roll is a dessert perfect for any occasion. A fluffy and light sponge cake filled with jam and then coated with desiccated coconut. This Swiss roll will delight your guest. This is a very easy to make recipe made without oven or microwave. 

INGREDIENTS :-

* All purpose flour - 1/2 cup

* Egg - 3

* Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp

* Baking powder - 1/2 tsp

* Baking soda - 1/4 tsp

* Sugar - 6 tbs

* Oil - 2 tbs

* Mixed fruit jam - 6 tbs

* Desiccated coconut - as needed

METHOD :-

* To a mixer jar add sugar and grind to a fine powder. Set aside. 

* Mix the flour, baking powder and baking soda and sieve it. Set aside. 

* To a bowl add egg and vanilla essence, then beat well using a beater. 

* To this add powdered sugar and beat well. 

* Then add oil to the beated egg mix, again beat well until it becomes fluffy. 

* To this add the flour mix. Fold it slowly until it mix well. 

* Take a 10 inch flat bottom tawa Or dosa tawa. Grease it with oil and place a butter paper over that. 

* Then pour the cake mix on the greased tawa. 

* Put an another old dosa tawa on the flame and heat this for 5 minutes in high flame. 

* After that put the tawa with cake mix on the top of this heated tawa. 

* Close it with a lid. 

* Turn the flame to medium. 

* Cook this for 10 minutes or until it's cooked well. ( Don't overcook this) 

* After that remove from the flame. 

* De mould it. 

* Place this cake on a butter paper. 

* Then roll the cake. After that  unroll it again as before.This will helps to get a flexibility to the cake while rolling. 

* Take the jam and beat it well. 

* Then spread it  an even layer over the cake. Again roll it and cover it with a foil paper or butter paper. 

* Let it rest for 10 minutes. 

* After 10 minutes  spread some more jam evenly on the outside portion. 

* After that spread some desiccated coconut. 

* Then cut into pieces. 

* Tasty and easy Swiss roll is ready.
