Green peas masala recipe/ Green peas curry
GREEN PEAS CURRY
This is a simple green peas curry, not adding cream and milk. But it's delicious. Goes well with chapati, dosa, rice, pulao, ghee rice etc... I prepared this curry using dried green peas that soaked overnight. I like the dried green peas than the frozen peas. you can use frozen peas too. That's your choice. I loved to serve this curry with dosa.
Let's see how to make this delicious green peas curry.
INGREDIENTS:-
* Green peas - 1 cup ( 125ml cup)
* Onion - 2 medium
* Tomato - 1
* Green chilly - 3
* Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
* Meat masala powder - 3 Tsp
* Ginger - garlic paste - 2 Tsp
* Garam masala powder - 1/2 Tsp
* Fennel seeds - 1/4 Tsp
* Oil - 1 1/2 Tbsn
* Salt - to taste
* Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsn
METHOD:-
* Soak the green peas till overnight.
* After that strain through a strainer. Keep aside.
* Put a pressure cooker on the stove, add oil when it becomes hot add fennel seeds.
* Then add chopped onion, saute it till it becomes light brown colour.
* Add green chilly, ginger - garlic paste, saute till the raw taste is completely gone.
* Add meat masala powder, turmeric powder and salt. Add tomato pieces, saute it till the oil separates.
* At this time add soaked green peas along with water.
* Cook for 3 whistles. When the pressure is completely gone open the lid.
* Add coriander leaves.
* Tasty green peas curry is ready to serve.
