CABBAGE DAL CURRY
This is an yet another simple lunch recipe. Cabbage - dal curry with coconut. This is very tasty and healthy recipe serve with boiled rice. This is a semi thick gravy. Grinded coconut and cumin seeds makes this curry more delicious.

Garnish - curry leaves, Mustard, Garlic, red chilly.
Combination :-
* Rice + curd + cabbage dal
* Rice + rasam + cabbage dal
INGREDIENTS :-
* Cabbage - 250 gm
* Thoor dal - 4 Tbsp
* Coconut - 5 Tbsp
* Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
* Shallots - 5 - 6
* Chilly powder - 2 Tsp
* Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
* Salt - to taste
* Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
* Garlic - 4
* Curry leaves - 1
* Red chillies - 2
* Oil - 1 Tbsp
METHOD :-
* Put a pressure cooker on the stove , add washed dal, turmeric powder and water.
*Cook for 3 Whistles ( that depends upon your dal ).
* When the pressure is completely gone open the lid and add chopped cabbage, chilly powder and salt.
* Add enough water and cook until the cabbage is cooked.
* Take a mixer jar add grated coconut, cumin seeds and shallots.
* Coarsely grind this without adding water.
* Add this to the cooked cabbage dal mix. Allow to boil for 2 minutes.
* Turn off the flame.
* Put a pan on the stove, add oil then add Mustard seeds when it pops up add garlic pieces and red chilly.
* Saute it till it becomes light brown colour then add curry leaves.
* Add this to the cabbage dal curry and close it for 2 minutes.
* Tasty cabbage dal curry is ready to serve.
