Kerala style Tomato pachadi
TOMATO PACHADI
This is a typical kerala style tomato pachadi.This is one of the delicious pachadi variety. It is quick to make because there is not much chopping needed.Goes well with rice and ghee or rice and sambar.
INGREDIENTS:-
* Tomato - 2 ( big size)
* Green chilly - 4
* Grated coconut - 4Tbspn
* Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
* oil - 1Tbspn
* Mustard - 1/2 Tspn
* Dried chilly - 2
* Onion - 1/2
* Curry leaves -
* Curd - 5Tbspn
* Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:-
* Grind the coconut along with green chilly and 1/4 tsp mustard seed. (Not fine paste take before that)
* Heat a pan, add oil, mustard when it pops, add onion and saute it for 2-3 minutes.
* Then add dried chilly and curry leaves.
* Add coconut paste , tomato pieces and salt.
* Boil for 4-5 minutes untill the raw taste of coconut and tomato goes.
* Turn off the flame.
* Add whipped curd to this. Mix it.
* Serve with rice and ghee or rice and sambar.
