Pepper yam curry/ chena kurumulaku curry
This spicy yam curry is a very delicious lunch recipe. Yam pieces mixed with spicy masala, that gives a flavourful tasty dish. Yam is good for health, it's rich in fibre. Mostly people makes this as lunch recipe. This goes well with boiled rice. This is very easy to prepare.

TIPS:-
* Use coconut oil to prepare this recipe. That gives an extra flavour.
* Use clay pot.
* Use pepper corns instead of using pepper powder.
INGREDIENTS :-
* Yam - 250 gm
* Pepper corns - 2 Tsp
* Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
* Garlic ( small) - 11 + 4
* Mustard - 1/4 Tsp + 1/4 Tsp
* Coriander powder - 1 Tbsp
* Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
* Salt - to taste
* Coconut oil - 2 Tbsn
* Curry leaves - 1 sprigs
* Dried chilly - 2
METHOD :-
* Clean the yam, remove the skin and cut into pieces.
* Take a mixer grinder then add coriander powder, pepper, cumin seeds, 11 garlic, Mustard.
* Grind to a fine paste.
* Put a kadai or an clay pot on the stove, add the grinded masala, yam pieces and turmeric powder along with sufficient water to cook the yam pieces.
* When the yam pieces becomes half cooked add salt.
* Make sure the yam is cooked well.
* switch off the flame.
* Put a pan on the stove, add some oil then add Mustard seeds when it pops up add 4 crushed garlic, dried chilly and curry leaves.
* Add this to the curry. Close it for 5 minutes.
* Pepper yam curry is ready to serve. Serve with boiled rice.
