Beef and Koorkka Roast / Beef and Chinese potato roast

Ingredients
* Beef (boneless, cubes) – 500g
* Koorkka (Chinese potato) – 250g
* Onion – 1 large (sliced)
* Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
* Garlic pastel – 1 tbsp
* Green chilies – 2 (slit)
* Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
* Red chili powder – 1 tsp
* Coriander powder – 1½ tsp
* Garam masala – ½ tsp
* Pepper powder – 1 tsp
* Fennel seed powder - 1 1/2 tsp
* Salt – to taste
*:Curry leaves – a few
* Water – ½ cup
* Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation :-
Step 1: Clean the Koorkka
* Koorkka has a rough, hairy skin. Scrape or rub them clean using a blunt knife or soak in water and scrub.
* Wash thoroughly 2–3 times to remove dirt and peel the outer skin using a knife.
* Then cut into large pieces.
* Soak in water and set aside.
For Beef :-
* Wash the beef pieces thoroughly. Set aside.
* Heat a pressure cooker. Then add oil.
* When the oil becomes hot add sliced onion.
* Saute until light brown color. Then add green chilli and curry leaves. Saute it for 1 minute.
* Then add ginger-garlic paste. Saute until the raw taste is gone.
* After that turn the flame low and add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix it well.
* To this add beef pieces. Turn the flame medium - high and mix it well for 3-4 minutes.
* Then add enough water for cooking and cook until 75% is done.
* After that open the lid and add cleaned koorkka or Chinese potato to the beef mix.
* Mix it well and cook until 2 whistle.
* Let the pressure completely gone and open the lid.
* Cook again and reduce the water content completely.
* Finally add fennel seed powder and pepper powder.
* Mix it well. Then turn off the flame.
* Tasty Beef and Koorkka roast is ready.
