Here’s how to recreate this viral burger at home, step-by-step:


Dubai Smash Burger with Homemade Paratha – Full Recipe

Servings: 4 burgers

Time: 1.5 hours (including paratha prep/resting time)

 Ingredients :-

For the Homemade Paratha:

* 2 cups all-purpose flour

* 1 tsp salt

* ¾ cup Luke warm water (approx.)

* 2 tbsp  melted ghee (for dough)

* Ghee (for cooking)

* Extra flour for dusting

For the Smash Burger Patties:

* 300g ground chicken 

* 1 small onion

* 1/2 tsp chilli powder

* 1 green chilli

* 1/2 tsp fennel seed powder

* 1/4 tsp garam masala powder

* 2 tbs Chopped coriander leaves

* 1 egg for binding

* 1/4 cup bread crumbs

* Salt and pepper to taste

* 2 slices cheddar cheese (or burger cheese slices)

* 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)

For Assembly:

* ½ onion, thinly sliced 

* Capsicum (optional)

* Your favorite burger sauces (suggested combo below)

 For Spicy Sauce Combo:-

*  2 tbsp mayonnaise

* 1 tbsp ketchup

* 1 tsp chili garlic sauce

* 1/2 tsp Oregano seasoning

* ½ tsp smoked paprika

* Dash of lemon juice


 Step-by-Step Instructions:- 

Step 1: Make the Paratha Dough

* In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.

* Gradually add Luke warm water and mix until a dough forms.

* Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

* Coat with a bit of ghee, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

 Step 2: Shape and Roll the Paratha

* Divide dough into equal sized balls.

* Roll each ball into a thin circle using a rolling pin and dusting with flour as needed.

* Apply a thin layer of ghee  over the surface.

* Cut into thin strips using a pizza cutter. 

* Then Fold into a roll , Then make a into a coil shape, then gently flatten again into a paratha shape. (This step creates layers!)

 Step 3: Cook the Paratha

* Heat a tawa or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

* Cook each paratha for 2–3 minutes on each side.

 * Brush with ghee  and cook until golden brown and flaky.

* Set aside and keep warm.

 Step 4: Smash Burger Patties

* To a bowl add minced chicken, finely chopped onion, chilli powder, pepper powder, fennel seed powder, chopped green chilli, garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves, egg, bread crumbs and salt. 

* Mix well and divide into equal sized  balls. 

* Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy pan until very hot.

* Pour some oil and Place one meatball on the hot pan and smash it flat with a spatula or burger press.

* Let it sear for 1.5–2 minutes (don’t move it!).

* Flip it and cook both sizeds until it done. Then add cheese on top. Let cook another minute until cheese is melted.

* Repeat for all patties.

Step 5:- For spicy sauce :-

* To a bowl add mayonnaise, ketchup, chilli garlic sauce, oregano seasoning, smoked paprika and lemon juice. 

* Mix it well. 

 Step 6 : Assemble the Dubai Smash Paratha Burger

* Place one paratha down as the base. 

* Add a generous layer of spicy mayo sauce on  the paratha. 

* Then Add the cheesy smash patty.

* Top with  crispy onions Or caramelized onion, capsicum and pickled vegetables (if using).

* Add another layer of sauce.

* Close with a second paratha.

* Optional: Toast the whole assembled burger in a panini press or dry pan for 1–2 minutes for a crispy finish.
