Blondie recipe
Blondie
A blondie is a rich, chewy dessert bar similar to a brownie but made without cocoa powder, giving it a golden, buttery flavor. The basic recipe includes ingredients like melted butter,sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. The brown sugar gives blondies their signature caramel-like taste and dense, fudgy texture. They can be customized with a variety of mix-ins such as chocolate chips, white chocolate chunks, nuts, or dried fruit. Easy to make in one bowl and baked in a square pan, blondies are a simple yet indulgent treat perfect for any occasion.
Blondies are dense, chewy dessert bars made with brown sugar, butter, and vanilla — without cocoa powder or melted chocolate (which is what differentiates them from brownies). They have a rich, butterscotch-like flavor and can be customized with chocolate chips, nuts, or other mix-ins.
Ingredients
* 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted
* 1 ½ cups (300g) light brown sugar (packed)
* 2 large eggs
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
* Corn flour - 1/2 tbs
* Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
* 1 cup chocolate chips or grated chocolate (semi-sweet or white)
Equipment Needed
9x13 inch baking pan (or 8x8 for thicker blondies)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven
* Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan, 9x13 inch baking pan (or 8x8 for thicker blondies) with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Melt Butter
* In a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan, melt 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter. Let it cool slightly so it doesn't cook the eggs.
Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl:
* Add the brown sugar to the melted butter and whisk until smooth.
* Add the eggs, one at a time, and whisk until well combined.
* Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients
* Add salt, baking soda, corn flour and flour to the wet mixture.
* Mix gently using a spatula until just combined — do not overmix.
* Add half of the Choco chips. Mix it.
Step 5: Pour and Spread
* Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
* Then sprinkle the remaining choco chips on the top.
Step 6: Bake
* Bake for 25–30 minutes (for 9x13 pan) or 30–35 minutes (for 8x8 pan) until the top is golden brown
* A toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs
* Don't overbake — blondies continue to set as they cool.
Step 7: Cool and Slice
* Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before slicing. This helps them set and makes cutting easier.
* Tasty Blondie is ready.
ENJOY!!!!
