Baked feta pasta
Here’s a clear, step-by-step recipe for baked feta pasta—simple, rich, and very satisfying:
Ingredients
* 200–250 g block of feta cheese
* 250 g pasta (penne, fusilli, or any short pasta)
* 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
* 3–4 cloves garlic (peeled, whole or minced)
* ¼ cup olive oil
* 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
*,½ tsp red chili flakes (optional, for heat)
* Salt and black pepper (to taste)
* Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Prepare the baking dish
Add the cherry tomatoes to a baking dish.
Place the block of feta in the center.
Scatter garlic around the tomatoes.
3. Season everything
Drizzle olive oil over the tomatoes and feta.
Sprinkle oregano, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
Toss the tomatoes lightly so they’re coated.
4. Bake
Put the dish in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes.
The tomatoes should burst and the feta should soften and slightly brown on top.
5. Cook the pasta
While the feta bakes, cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions.
Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
6. Combine everything
Remove the baking dish from the oven.
Use a spoon or fork to mash the feta and tomatoes into a creamy sauce.
Add the cooked pasta and mix well.
If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
7. Garnish and serve
Top with fresh basil leaves.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve hot.
Tips & Variations
Add spinach or mushrooms before baking for extra veggies.
