* 1 teaspoon licorice root (dried or powdered)
* 1 small cinnamon stick (or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon)
* 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (or ½ teaspoon ground ginger)
* ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
* 2 cups water
* 1 teaspoon honey or jaggery (optional, for sweetness)
* A few drops of lemon juice (optional, for extra vitamin C boost)
Step-by-Step Preparation:
Step 1: Boil the Base
* In a small saucepan, add 2 cups of water.
* Bring it to a gentle boil on medium heat.
Step 2: Add the Spices
* Add the licorice root, cinnamon stick, ginger, and turmeric powder to the boiling water.
* Stir well to mix the ingredients.
Step 3: Simmer
* Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
